Open House
Open House Stockholm is this week! From 2-4 October, the festival opens the doors to some of Stockholm’s most interesting buildings and places. We are proud to be part of this year’s programme with two projects: Kakelhuset in Marievik and Natur & Kultur‘s Publishing House. On Saturday morning at 9.00, Vanna Gunnarsson from Studio Stockholm Arkitektur and Kenneth Öberg will share the story behind Kakelhuset’s transformation. Through careful renovation and reuse, this postmodern building has evolved from a closed 1980s office into a bright and vibrant workplace. Also on Saturday, at 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00, Karolina Nyström from Studio Stockholm Arkitektur and Ann Reimers from Natur & Kultur will show visitors around the publishing house next to Humlegården. Originally designed by Sven Markelius as Skogsindustrihuset, the building has been restored and adapted for a modern workplace while preserving its architectural character. We look forward to sharing the stories behind these two buildings. Hope to see you there!
See the programme below for more tours of Kakelhuset and other buildings.
