Michael Kors and Studio Stockholm in collaboration
This week Michael Kors inaugurates its new flagship store in Sweden at Biblioteksgatan 6 in Stockholm.
CLS Architetti in collaboration with Studio Stockholm have had the assignment to build and develop this store and support Michael Kors in the implementation of the project.
Michael Kors is a world-renowned, award-winning designer of luxury accessories and ready to wear clothing line. His namesake company, established in 1981, currently produces a range of products through his Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, including accessories, footwear, watches and jewelry, men’s and women’s ready to wear, and a full line of fragrance products.
Michael Kors first store in Sweden opened in 2013 and is now complemented with their new store over 2 floors, now complemented with their men’s fashion range.
Michael Kors is now even opening in the new Mall of Scandinavia as well as in Gothenburg.
The new store is the next step for Biblioteksstan establishing a 2 floor high-end fashion brand on one of the street’s most strategic corners.
“By combining the previous retail units around this corner we have created a new retail destination while still preserving one of Biblioteksgatan’s most beautiful buildings”, says Carl-Michael Bonde, partner and project architect at Studio Stockholm Arkitektur.
